Pisces Sushi Bar & Lounge
They have been a popular spot in Charlotte since they opened 5 years ago. I’ve been a fan since day one. Most people don’t remember back when the lounge wasn’t finished yet and people still forget they serve sushi until 2am Friday & Saturday night.
My first experience was their Halloween party. They moved all of the tables and chairs into the lounge area which was still just an empty room at the time. DJ, drinks & costumes and a huge open area to dance and cut loose. I’ll never forget that evening.
I used to work a retail second job at SouthPark Mall and would go to Pisces every Friday night around 11pm. It was one of the only places that still served food that late and no way was I eating fast food. Since quitting that job a couple years ago I’ve mainly eaten their lunch buffet.
If you’ve ever wanted to eat a crab, shell and all, you can do it here. Tastes like chicken rings true here, on the extra crispy side. Another favorite of mine are their handmade dumplings, so different from what you would normally consider a “crab rangoon”.
Monday through Friday between 11:30am – 2:30pm for ten dollars – all you can eat sushi & a few kitchen items like fried rice, spring rolls or garlic noodles. You can pay five more dollars for AYCE nigiri.
Monday through Friday between 4pm-6pm you can get all regular rolls at half price. Awesome deal right?! My order has been “Crunchy Spicy Tuna with a side of Sriracha & a Sapporo, please.” for the past 5 years.
They create seasonal cocktails too. This is where I met the famous Bob Peters and enjoyed is crafty cocktails. It was always nice coming in and having him serve you something unique and unspecified. He would ask “what are you in the mood for?” and you’d give a liquor, and he’d go at it. Aromatic, strong and fairly priced compared to other craft cocktails around town.
Monday | Half Price Glass of Wine
Tuesday | $15 Bottle of Wine
Wednesday | Half Price Bottle of Wine
Thursday | Half Price Cocktails
I hope you visit Pisces soon, they are great people serving up quality sushi. Let them know I told you stop by!
