Located on Piedmont Row in SouthPark, George’s Brasserie sits alongside Brio, Del Frisco’s and Terrace Cafe. A fantastic walking area that’s similar to Phillip’s Place just down the street on Fairview Rd. I love small shopping centers with retail & restaurants who also have ample parking. Piedmont Row has multiple parking garages, a huge plus!
George’s is owned by a trio of top restaurateurs and businessmen, most notably Martin Sprock. Martin has developed local favorites such as RuRu’s Tacos, Leroy Fox, and the Dilworth hot spot Kid Cashew. The other two members are George Bakatsias & Azam Mehdi, who have extreme talent when it comes to hospitality and business intuition.
I was lucky enough to be invited to try some of their signature menu items as well as a few new fall menu features. It was a hefty task eating 11 plates of food, thankfully there were a few cocktails to help with that. Eating for two hours is something I hope not to do again, even though it was absolutely delicious experience. My stomach will never be the same.
So let’s dig right in shall we…
Appetizers | Fried Oysters, Petite Mussels, Crispy Brussel Leaves
Second Course | Tuna Tartare, Chili-Charred Pork Belly, Beef Carpaccio
Third Course | Quinoa Salad, She Crab Soup
Entree | New Zealand Rack of Lamb, White Marble Smoked Pork Chop
Dessert | Creme Brulee
George’s also offers a Sunday Brunch Buffet, next on my to-do list!
